Idea Camp 2015 - this is what happened when 50 people from all over Europe met in Subtopia to develop their ideas on how to build the city through the commons

Idea Camp 2015 – Build the City, took place on September 23-25 in Subtopia. Here we have gathered recorded, photographed and written media from the three days experience!

Some facts

Idea Camp is arranged every year as a part of European Cultural Foundation’s (ECF) project Connected Actions for the Commons, which Subtopia is part of. The purpose of the project is to support people and grassroots organizations in contributing to the development of the commons.

This year’s Idea Camp was arranged by Subtopia together with ECF and focuses on how to build the city. It was a three-days power gathering of engaged people from all over Europe and neighbouring countries. On the last day the idea makers presented their ideas on so called Ideas on Wheels (mobile wooden frames). This is how six idea makers described their ideas to us: Building the City together.

After Idea Camp the 50 participants can apply to get financial support for their project (RnD Grant) from ECF, which will grant 25 idea makers 10.000 € each. More about Idea Camp and Connected Action for the Commons can be found here.
